What is this?

The site you’re looking at. Three portal squares sit scattered across the homepage, each one a small world running Conway’s Game of Life. The gliders crawling through those squares represent the projects living here. They move with purpose, they sometimes get stuck, they occasionally die out and have to start over. That feels about right for a hobby project.

Click a portal to dive in. Inside: projects, writing, and photo albums. The photo viewer shows images at their natural orientation, with keyboard navigation.

How it’s built

Astro 5 with Svelte 5 islands for the interactive parts. Content is markdown files. Adding a project, article, or photo album means creating a folder and dropping an index.md in it.
